Description:

Mob Entertainment is a startup multimedia studio that is best known for our hit indie horror game “Poppy Playtime”. To give a taste of our brand’s popularity, Poppy Playtime was the #2 most searched term on YouTube in the last 12 months in the U.S. (only behind a recent Disney film), and Poppy Playtime has over 5 billion views on TikTok.
As a Senior Game Designer at Mob, you’ll assist in pioneering a new & exciting venture, as we work on an original singleplayer title in the sci-fi/comedy/action genre. You’ll work closely with the Game Director to ideate new & innovative game mechanics, on a mission to break the norms of media and create a game that you’ll be proud of for years to come.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years industry experience
  • Deep understanding of how to abstractly breakdown games into their subsequent mechanics/components/game loops
  • UE Blueprinting
  • Excellent writing, communication & interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate new & innovative game mechanics
  • Design & refine the specific nuts & bolts of said mechanics
  • Collaborate with writers to ensure that the narrative & game design are in tandem
  • Prototype your designs in Unreal Engine 5 using Blueprint and/or C++
  • Utilize programmers & artists on your team to rapidly prototype your designs
  • Analyze the game’s strengths & weaknesses by conducting regular playtests
  • Refine your design based on playtesting
