POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Senior General Foreperson, you will be at the forefront of our operations on the A303 Highways Project. Working closely with the project management team, you will oversee day-to-day activities, manage resources, and ensure that work progresses smoothly and efficiently.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry, with a focus on highways, earthworks or civil engineering projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve their full potential.
• Sound knowledge of construction methodologies, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in managing construction equipment and resources to maximize efficiency and productivity.
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction management, site supervision, or a related field are advantageous.

Job Description

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure adherence to project plans and schedules.
• Provide hands-on leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Monitor work progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate progress, address issues, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Take ownership of site logistics, including material deliveries, equipment utilization, and site access, to support seamless project execution.
