Senior Geotechnical Engineer

THE OPPORTUNITY

Ulan Underground is currently seeking to employ a motivated and results driven Senior Geotechnical Engineer to assist in delivering the operations targets, whilst maximising value. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, this role’s primary objective is to deliver best practice geotechnical engineering strategies for the underground operation. To ensure direct technical and production accountabilities are achieved, clear and consistent communication between the Technical Services team and the underground operations is paramount.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:

• Manage the appropriate and systematic delivery and review of support systems
• Guarantee compliance with relevant legislation
• Maintain standards in relation to the geotechnical designs for both primary and secondary support
• Reporting any non-compliance and developing remediation plans.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE DISPOSES OF:

• At least 5 years’ experience working across geotechnical investigation, design and analysis
• The ability to undertake analyses utilising several different methodologies
• Demonstrate a passion for visible leadership
