MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources management, Business, or related fields, Master’s degree a plus
  • +10 years of expertise across a broad spectrum of strategic and operational HR disciplines with international exposure covering multiple countries and nationalities
  • Demonstrated success in building a proactive, collaborative, business focused, strategic human resources partnership – viewed as a trusted advisor, credible activist, provides strategic and operational business thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • German fluency
  • Experience in supporting Manufacturing/Supply Chain/Operations departments
  • Experience in Manufacturing/Medical Device industries

Responsibilities:

People Strategies:

  • Understanding of the business, its macro challenges and people enablers.
  • Generating strategic foresight and systemic insights on the future needs of the global organization
  • Deriving critical capability and culture implications from business objectives
  • Provides HR expertise and leverages the HR organization’s Centers of Expertise, as required.
  • Aligning strategy, culture, practices, and behavior
  • Mobilizing and equips the organization to drive people strategies
  • Initiating organizational development measures in support of business objectives & strategic initiatives
  • Building strategic workforce plan to input to Recruiting Team, talent management and L&D
  • Measuring impact and performance of people strategy drivers and provides feedback to the business and HR Community

Partnerships with the business and the HR Community

  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships within the business and HR Community to establish trust and credibility.
  • Acting as the linchpin between the business and the different arms of the HR function (CoE, local HR teams) to co-create and implement solutions that address business needs.
  • Enables or ensures coaching of identified talents and leaders to build leadership capability across the organization, drives leader accountability for people initiatives / processes and instills the organization’s core values and behaviors
  • Providing consultancy to leaders through support, influence and being a “challenging” partner
  • Building HR competencies across the HR organization through knowledge-sharing and best practice

Building Organizational Talent & Shaping the Future

  • Identifying, attracting and mobilizing talent across the organization
  • Continuing to develop leadership understanding and commitment to diversity and inclusion. Embedding D&I into sustainable work practices via implementation programs and metrics
  • Placing talent at the right time and place for maximum impact and development
  • Building a robust succession pipeline within SHL
  • Acting as an ambassador of SHL and the HR brand, values and culture
  • Leveraging diversity of thoughts. Respecting and encouraging open dialogue with each other

Transformation and Change

  • Partnering with the business in organization design and effectiveness programs
  • Diagnosing organizational patterns, recognizing the associated strengths and limitations of such patterns and proposing pragmatic solutions that challenge and drive organizational improvements
  • Designing and rigorously implementing programs that support business challenges and improve or change HR practices (Project Management). Global accountability and coordination of such programs through the global business and HR network.
