Absolute Recruit are partnered with a global Fintech business in their search for a Senior Group Financial Accountant.
Absolute Recruit are partnered with a global Fintech business in their search for a Senior Group Financial Accountant. The business has a complex group structure, with a high volume of data/transactions and this role will be a manager-level position within the business reporting directly to the Finance Director and managing a team of 4 accountants.
The role will support the business with the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual statutory accounts and general day to day accounting activities.
Key tasks:
- Reporting to the Finance Director, overseeing a team of 4 accountants
- Ensuring revenue is correctly accounted for establishing robust controls and processes
- Month end reporting, reviewing balance sheet and group monthly reconciliation process
- Reviewing intercompany transactions, reconciliations and approving postings
- Year end audit, dealing with external auditors
Requirements:
- Must be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) ideally with 5 years PQE
- Experience within a complex group structure is essential including multi-jurisdictional/multi-currency experience
- Previous experience managing a small team is essential
- Experience dealing with a very high volume of data/transactions (ideally within a Financial Services/Fintech business)
- A hands-on accountant comfortable managing others and able to get into the detail when required
- Advanced Excel skills
