QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • AITI qualified
  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification
  • Strong relevant experience in Irish corporate tax experience ideally gained in a Big 4 professional practice firm or from a large multinational environment.
  • Ability to deal effectively in a multi-jurisdictional and global environment.
  • High degree of commercial acumen and ability to make reasoned decisions and judgements.
  • High levels of personal credibility, professionalism, and integrity.
  • Willing to challenge the status quo whilst maintaining a team ethos.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convert the technical to non-technical.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Group Tax Manager to join our team! This role will play a crucial role in providing clear and relevant tax advice to a diverse group of stakeholders within our organisation.
The ideal candidate will have strong relevant experience in Irish Corporate Tax and will have gained expertise in a Big 4 professional practice firm or a large multinational environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clear and relevant tax advice to a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., Group Financial Controller, M&A function, Legal function, Company Secretary) within the organisation on tax matters relating to Kerry Group.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, determination of the impact of these developments to Kerry and communication of such impact to the tax team and senior stakeholders e.g., OECD Pillar II Global Minimum Tax
  • Manage all aspects of various worldwide tax projects to understand relevant tax rules and ultimate application to Kerry.
  • Work closely with the Transfer Pricing team regarding intercompany transactions relating to the Irish corporate entities.
  • Work closely with the Group Treasury department and provide taxation input on fund raising (equity or borrowings) and treasury transactions.
  • Work closely with the European Tax Compliance team to ensure the compliance requirements for the Irish Group entities are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Key point of contact for all direct and indirect tax communications with Irish Revenue.
  • Identifying opportunities for creating efficiencies in the Group’s tax processes and assisting with the development and implementation of key initiatives. Other ad hoc projects as required.
