Description:
The key accountabilities are not limited to but include:
- Offer expert advice to QIC’s stakeholders on the implementation of the QIC WHS Management System (45001). This includes developing and reviewing operational plans, risk registers, procedures, guidelines, safety alerts, forms, tools, safe operating procedures, and technical specifications.
- Train QIC stakeholders in identifying WHS best practices and risks through mentoring, coaching, and upskilling via site walks, risk assessment workshops, and training activities.
- Utilize Beakon (risk management system) to monitor, track, and report activities such as workplace inspections, incident management and investigations, audit findings closure, hazard and near-miss identification, data quality, and training. Conduct 5-Why and ICAM investigations.
- Form strong relationships with key QIC stakeholders across the real estate business to ensure alignment and collaboration on WHS initiatives.
- Assist the National Health & Safety Manager in reviewing, planning, and coordinating WHS requirements and strategies for QIC Real Estate assets.
- Support project stakeholders with WHS initiatives by reviewing contractor safety plans and safe work method statements for national projects
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a Real Estate Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join QIC’s Real Estate division. This is a pivotal role within the Australian Real Estate (WHS) Work Health & Safety HS function reporting to the National Health & Safety Manager.
This position is responsible for providing specialist WHS information, training, and advice to Shopping Centers Workers. The advisor will support, monitor, and administer WHS practices across Real Estate and facilitate consultative forums as required. Additionally, they will support development projects, marketing teams, alternative income and tenancy delivery teams to ensure that construction activities are executed safely.
