Description:

The NHS Health Check team is looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Senior Health Check Adviser (SHCA) to join our Quality Assurance and Training team. The SHCA will support with our ongoing aim to ensure that NHS Health Checks are delivered to a consistently high standard, adhering to all quality assurance requirements by all providers across Kent.
The Health Check Service supports individuals in Kent by offering a person-centred approach to raising awareness of their risk of developing cardiovascular disease and the impact of their existing health and lifestyle behaviours. We then support them to reduce their risk through onward referral for further investigation and/or lifestyle support.

Responsibilities:

  • supporting with the delivery of NHS Health Check training
  • providing on-site training on our software system and point of care testing at GP Practices and pharmacies across Kent
  • conducting work-based observations of third-party providers at their place of work
  • supporting the quality assurance programme
  • completing administrative tasks associated with all of the above
  • delivering regular NHS Health Check clinics to maintain own clinical competencies
  • the line management of Band 3 Health Check Advisers as required.
