Description:
SECTION 3: EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES
- Graduate degree in Science, Medicine, Economics or Engineering. A further certification on HE, HTA, Health Policy or market access is mandatory.
- At least 5 years experience in health policy, market access, reimbursement, health economics
- Proven experience of interacting and building relationships directly with healthcare stakeholders/decision makers at all levels
- Knowledge of the healthcare landscape and trends, including payers, and healthcare funding flows
- Strong business acumen to connect to local/Area business leaders and develop HE&R solutions to support the business.
- Strong project management skills with oversight experience in both internal and external projects are necessary. Demonstrated multitasking and time management skills and experience are essential
- Strong and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in participating and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent English skills
Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of effective health economics, reimbursement and market access strategies to enable and support commercial success in Italy for Abbott Medical Device (ABT MD) BUs (Vasc, CRM, EP, HF, SH and NMD)
Section 2: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess the impact of national and regional health care and reimbursement laws on ABT MD
- Demonstrate and communicate the economic benefit of ABT MD technologies at national, regional or local level for reimbursement and market access purposes
- Engage with healthcare/HTA authorities, hospital decision makers, key opinion leaders (KOLs) for reimbursement and market access purposes
- Provide research and reimbursement deliverables (i.e. economic literature search, cost-effectiveness analysis, value dossiers) for customer engagement initiatives, reimbursement campaign and economic modeling
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, clinical, regulatory, marketing, and medical affairs, to ensure integrated market access approaches.
- Support commercial teams in developing and communicating economic value messages and economics tools (cost-analysis, economic calculators, local data generation) to support ABT MD adoption
- Contribute with original ideas, best practices, and winning strategies to the Global Health Economics & Reimbursement group to drive international synergies across regions, functions, divisions and others
- Provide internal training to BUs on HE & Reimbursement topics
