DESIGNATION : Senior Horticulturist/ Assistant Manager (Research & Horticulture)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience or Degree in Landscape or Horticulture-related discipline
- Good knowledge on plants and plant procurement
- Hands-on team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computer software will be advantageous
We are looking for a candidate with a strong interest in plants and passion for hands-on horticulture work. In the course of the work, you are expected to apply and acquire knowledge and skills related to nursery management and assist with the installation of displays. These include knowledge and skills in the following areas, but not limited to:
- Grow healthy and floriferous specimens
- Grow and maintain a collection of orchids
- Nursery work, including propagation of plants, transplanting and re-potting
- A basic understanding of plant disorders and plant health management
- Procurement of plants, materials and services
- Plant curation, categorisation, labelling and inventory building
- Assist with installation at display site according to a given schedule
- Daily inspection, maintenance and replacement of plants at display sit
Responsibilities:
