12-month fixed term contract
Location: Edinburgh (remote working can be considered, but must be able to attend the office if required)
Expected starting salary: £35,120 - £43,900

The Job:
The role of the HR function is to add significant value to the organisation by working in partnership with the business to ensure that appropriate business strategies are devised, planned, and implemented. The specific emphasis is on the construction of an organisation wide approach to the management of people to maximise the contribution and potential of all employees.
The Senior HR Advisor is a generalist role which will support processes and programs for GTS and the GTS HR team across all locations (Hungary, Netherlands, United Kingdom, and United States). The role will have responsibilities which cross multiple HR functions to include data & analytics, recruitment, compensation, talent management, and organisational change.
Due to the global nature of this role, there may be the expectation to work flexibly to attend meetings outside of standard UK office hours.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in HR projects related to Talent Management, Inclusion and Diversity, Organisational Change, and Employee Engagement. Keeping HR processes up-to-date and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by finding better ways to work
  • Provide reporting and analysis on key data for HR projects and processes. Identifying situations where data can be used more effectively and ensuring data quality in core HR systems
  • Support the recruiting processes; coaching managers on the recruitment procedure, ensuring that recruitment data, such as reward and compensation is maintained
  • Provide advice, support, and guidance on a wide range of HR tasks to employees and managers throughout the business, to allow them to carry out administrative tasks in accordance with agreed legislative processes, procedures, and best practice

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • Proficiency with MS Office packages including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Good planning and organisation capability, including the ability to document processes
  • Experience working with data, ensure accuracy for reporting
  • Comfort working with ambiguity coupled with a strong sense of curiosity
  • Critical thinking skills to resolve problems and recommend solutions
  • Flexibility to handle change and change processes in a fast-faced environment
  • Work experience in a fast-paced HR environment with exposure to multiple functions within HR
  • Supporting HR projects through to delivery
  • Evidence of delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with different types of people

It’d also be great – but not essential - if you’ve got:

  • Experience with Workday or other HRIS tools
  • Experience working with global teams
