Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Human Resources Advisor in Portland, Oregon. This role involves working closely with human resource partners to provide targeted consulting to management and supervisors within an assigned area. The successful candidate will assist in developing proactive people strategies that align with the department’s mission and goals.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior and middle operational management to operationalize people strategies developed by HR leaders.
Consult with local management and supervisors on key departmental initiatives, goals, and objectives to identify people implications and requirements.
Provide frontline direction, guidance, and support for local management and supervisors regarding initiatives, workforce planning, employment needs, and onboarding strategies.
Serve as a technical subject matter expert in human resources and related disciplines.
Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to local department decisions.
Drive recommendations and awareness around implications for department employees.
Assist in local workforce planning, skill requirements gap assessments, and employment strategies.
Monitor wage and salary equity/trends in collaboration with the total rewards COE.
Solve escalated operational problems and technical issues.
Make decisions that have a moderate to major impact on functional operations.
Perform projects, research, and deliverables independently with support from HR leadership.
Mentor and train other staff members in the department.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience: Required
Master’s Degree with coursework in human resources: Preferred
Five years of technical human resources experience: Preferred
