Description:

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Senior HR Generalist, 6-9 months contract, Hybrid in Sunnyvale, CA (2-3 days on-site). Your role will involve managing a heavy volume of HR operations due to an acquisition, which includes onboarding and offboarding employees, answering questions about severance packages, and benefits, among others.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of employees due to an acquisition.
  • Ensure the organization’s HR operations are running smoothly, especially during the relocation of employees.
  • Answer employees’ queries about severance packages, benefits, COBRA, etc.
  • Help with recruiting efforts for sales & customer service-related positions.
  • Collaborate with payroll and other departments to ensure a smooth offboarding process.
  • Provide resources for resume assistance, interview coaching, etc. for the organization.
  • Serve as the point of contact for employee questions.
  • Ensure proper procedures and policies are being followed during the reduction or combination of employees due to the M& A.
  • Assist in maintaining HR Compliance and knowledge of CA Labor Law.
  • Handle the maintenance of personnel files and new employee orientation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as an HR Generalist
  • Proven experience in Benefits Coordination
  • Extensive knowledge of HR Compliance and Human Resources (HR) Administration
  • Experience in Onboarding procedures and New Employee Orientation
  • Background in dealing with Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)
  • Proficiency in Personnel File Maintenance
  • Proven track record in Recruiting and Terminations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
