Boeing Commercial Airplanes’ (BCA) Human Resources (HR) organization is currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Portland, Oregon.

The Portland site is part of the Hard Metals footprint at Boeing and will be supporting employees from various functions. This is an opportunity to contribute towards supporting our teammates in delivering flight critical airplane parts for all airplane programs. The position will play a key role in supporting the success of Boeing’s business in Portland and the HR function’s objective to provide world class HR service and employee experience.
The role, along with their team of peers, will be the HR Generalists supporting the 1,500+ employees within BCA at the Portland, OR site. The position will work closely with other key groups in the Human Resources organization, namely Human Resources Generalist’s (HRG) dedicated to Airplane Programs, BCA Supply Chain and Fabrication, the specialized HR Centers of Excellence (COE’s) and the HR Services groups to deliver high quality, seamlessly integrated operational HR support for the business, the employees and managers. The team will be responsible for not only delivering HR products and services but also ‘on the floor’ interactions and interfacing with employees and managers in person to improve the employee experience.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • 5+ years of experience communicating and implementing HR programs, policies, practices and processes
  • 5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and understanding
  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
  • 5+ years of experience executing strategies and managing projects that promote a culture of superior customer service and exceptional employee engagement
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with leadership to design and implement workforce strategies to meet organization objectives

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Human Resources certification
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams either formally or informally in a Human Resources role
  • Experience in an HRG or HRBP role
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Experience collaborating across organizational boundaries to deliver an integrated final product
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, high-impact communication style

TYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Typically 10 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide visible HR presence where our employees work to enable real time engagement and solutions
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion where employee experience is at the center of HR service delivery
  • Aid in supporting the delivery of key HR processes (e.g. performance support, employee movement, leadership coaching, etc.)
  • Work closely with HR COE’s to provide input for the design of HR programs in specific areas (e.g., labor relations, talent, compensation, training), and to support the delivery of programs
  • Utilize HR metrics and people data to drive solutions based on trends and understand effectiveness of support provided
  • Support the continuing transformation of HR via HR process implementation and the continuous technological improvements in Workday.
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation. Ensure solutions are consistent with organization objectives
  • Serve as subject matter expert on majority of HR products and services
