Description:

Teacher Recruitment Operations is a team within the Borderless Recruitment Unit and supports statewide teacher recruitment in partnership with regional colleagues. Team responsibilities include, but are not limited to, application processing and candidate management for the statewide teacher pool, vacancy advertising and reporting, development of recruitment strategies and responses to workforce shortages and liaison with key stakeholders

Responsibilities:

Within this role you will be responsible for leading the following activities and undertaking the following key tasks:

  • Day to day leadership/supervision of a team delivering targeted programs and services.
  • Provide quality recruitment solutions to support and assist clients and stakeholders to develop best practice human resource management outcomes.
  • Analyse data and provide high level overviews and use those to inform/influence team processes.
  • Focus on business process improvement for application processing and candidate management.
  • Liaise directly with the Queensland College of Teachers with respect to Permission to Teach approval requests, and provide high level advice on the application process and individual requests to schools and regional HR colleagues and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop business processes as required for recruitment related activities, working closely with colleagues and management to review and inform current departmental policies, procedures and processes where required.
  • Assist with capability build across the team, with a strong focus on building individual capability by providing tailored coaching to individual team members.
  • Establish effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, management and stakeholders through the provision of authoritative consultancy services and advice on a range of complex and sensitive human resource management issues.
  • Work in partnership with clients to assist them in implementing recruitment activities that support their location’s workforce needs.
