Description:

The Senior Coordinator will support the administration of Human Resources programs, services, systems and processes in employee relations, performance management, regulatory compliance, recruitment, benefits, training and development, and health and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Administer full cycle support requirements, documentation and file maintenance for employee leave programs, including statutory, worker’s compensation and disability leave cases in compliance with provincial regulations and company policies
  • Arrange and ensure logistics for all HR programs and services, establish documentation and maintain appropriate files
  • Prepare HR letters and other employment correspondence for signature by management.
  • Prepare periodic HR reports including recruitment, turnover, employee count, LOA, health and safety, etc.
  • Update all training matrices and HR databases on an ongoing basis
  • Administer onboarding process including the preparation of new hire packages, collection of employment data for payroll and conduct new hire orientation
  • Assist with the implementation of HR systems
  • Assist in the delivery of full-cycle recruitment by developing job postings and descriptions, posting job ads, screening resumes, contacting potential candidates, arranging interviews with hiring managers, conducting references and background checks and maintain employee files
  • Administer internal job posting program, including internal talent search and internal referral program
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times
  • Comply with operational quality and HR professional ethical standards at all times

Qualifications

  • Post-Secondary Human Resources program
  • 5+ years’ experience within Human Resources
  • Demonstrated understanding of the Employment Standards Act in multiple provinces across Canada
  • General human resources knowledge with the ability to interpret and apply provincial and federal legislation as it relates to employment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with staff diplomatically and professionally
  • Strong sense of urgency with the ability to handle multiple changing priorities and deadlines
  • Superior organization and time management skills
  • Excellent computer skills including advanced Excel skills
  • Works well in a team setting as well as independently
