Senior IBM MQ Engineer (contract)

We are seeking a senior level MQ Engineer to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA for a 6-month contract opportunity in a hybrid environment! If you possess 6+ years of IBM MQ experience configuring, troubleshooting, and migrating to new services in an enterprise environment please apply today!

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of experience in configuring and supporting MQ messaging with IBM’s MQ IPT at enterprise level
• Experience in configuring and managing TLS MQ channel certificates, including creating MQIPT trust stores, understanding root and intermediate certificates, building keyrings, and using OpenSSL.
• Familiarity with IBM appliances or Mainframe.
• Ability to write detailed MQ migration plans.
• Bachelors degree preferred

• Provide support for the ongoing efforts to migrate MQ external messaging connectivity to an improved tier of network and MQ service.
• Demonstrate attention to detail, passion for excellence, and drive for improvements.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Develop small but detailed migration plans for MQ messaging.
• Perform MQ technical changes involving MQIPT, TLS certificates, and MQ manager configuration.
• Support MQ migrations in both lower environments and production.
• Administering and troubleshooting IBM MQSeries.
