About the job:
The Red Hat Tax team in EMEA is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst to join them, based in Ireland with flexible remote work options. This position requires relevant Indirect Tax experience, and it receives little instruction on routine work and general instructions on new projects or assignments. In this role you would network with senior internal and external personnel in areas of expertise, and you would coordinate and review compilation and analysis of data related to indirect tax returns and actively participates in tax compliance and audit activities and special projects.

What you will do:

  • Key point of contact for all queries and responsibilities for specific areas of expertise in assigned jurisdictions
  • Extracts reports from Oracle and subsystems
  • Performs comprehensive data analyses and resolves notable data issues
  • Accountable for proper accounting and tax account reconciliations in areas of expertise
  • Accountable for completion of payments in accordance with statutory deadlines
  • Ensures accurate completion of templates for tax payments, journal entries, and monthly account reconciliations
  • Assists in the responses to notices and queries from tax authorities
  • Ensures compliance with business and process controls and coordinates providing information required for testing
  • Work on adhoc initiatives as required

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience
  • Professional accounting qualification or certification
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with Oracle
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
