We’re seeking a Senior Information Security Consultant to shape our security strategy, ensuring our information assets remain safeguarded. Your role will involve translating technical complexities into clear business language while spearheading information management and security practices with a customer-centric approach.

Responsibilities include:

  • Guiding business strategy through information security leadership, solving challenges with clarity.
  • Providing expert advice on national and international standards and best practices.
  • Managing intricate projects to preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data.
  • Reviewing technology deployments for compliance with Cochlear and industry standards.
  • Crafting solution architecture documentation and gaining stakeholder approval.
  • Conducting risk assessments and implementing cost-effective mitigation controls.
  • Overseeing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing engagements.

About You:

  • Degree in IT or related discipline, with certifications like CISSP, CISA, CISM, or ITIL.
  • 10+ years in IT, with 5+ years in senior information security roles.
  • Proficiency in Risk Management, enterprise architecture, and security architecture frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ISO 27000, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, ITIL, and Privacy principles.
  • Expertise in Internet and network security systems and tools.
  • Experience with VMware, Microsoft, UNIX, Linux OS, and Cloud platforms.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
  • Strategic and operational leadership with a focus on effective implementation.
