THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING KEY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with extensive experience in design.
  • Substantial job related experience.
  • Class C Drivers.
  • Proven ability to design using AutoCAD and associated products.
  • Experience in Safer by Design assessments and Road Safety Audits.
  • High level of proven innovative and sustainable design knowledge, including but not limited to roads, stormwater, footpaths, cycleway, street lighting, traffic, landscape and open space.
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in, and an ability to, formulate and implement engineering designs, supporting policies and procedures and systems related to infrastructure.
  • Ability to demonstrate project design management skills and meet deadlines.
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills with the ability, able to interact with, and influence, a varied audience.
  • Proven experience in in preparing briefs, discussion papers, reports and submissions using a clear, plain English writing style.
  • Possess advanced analytical and creative problem solving skills.
  • Possess knowledge of traffic study for upgrade works related to local area traffic management.

Responsibilities:

Given the current development in the Campbelltown LGA, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering infrastructure-related design projects including detailed design, reviews and documentation for, but not limited to roads, stormwater and drainage, car parks, street lighting, footpaths, cycle ways, detailed quantity and cost estimation, development of engineering specifications, traffic management, public domain, open space and assessment of development applications.
