Description:

AXA Partners are searching for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer who specialises in Azure Cloud and Networking to join their IT team based in Redhill on a six month fixed term hybrid contract. This role attracts a base salary up to 65k depending on experience. You will be accountable for IT Service Operations in the UK and Ireland geographies and for the execution of processes and procedures, within the IT Systems & Maintenance team, to ensure IT services remain in high availability and in line with AXA compliance and security standards.

The primarily purpose for this role is to act as a point of incident & request resolution for the IT Operations Teams. You’ll be using your expert IT Industry knowledge and experience to resolve difficult problems/ projects. Plus, coaching other members of the Support team to ensure a coherent and standard approach is maintained to supporting the infrastructure. You’ll also be ensuring documentation for systems and services are maintained in line with platform updates and group compliance and security standards.

  • Act as a point of escalation within the team for all technical issues relating to Azure Cloud and Networking
  • Support the IT team on planning and executing projects. Recording and tracking project issues and escalations
  • Keep pace with technology advances. Contribute to the effective planning and development of the IT infrastructure to maximize the business benefit of new and changing technology
  • Provide coaching to the team in relation to Azure Cloud and Networking including any supplementary material
  • Perform upgrades and updates to key infrastructure platforms in line with maintenance schedule or security requirements
  • Remediation of security vulnerabilities, including updating, patching and implementing security fixes on various systems
  • Manage and prioritize escalations from the business related to BAU activities and ensure targeted SLA’s are met
  • Follow change management process
