Due to continuing growth and development of Merlin’s attractions and brands on a global scale, we are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer to join our Technology department on a permanent basis. The role will be based can be based in our Sydney, Melbourne or Hong Kong office, with a hybrid element for those looking for more flexibility.
As a hands-on Senior Infrastructure Operations Engineer, your days will be filled with vigilant monitoring, timely patching, and meticulous configuration. Dive into a role where no two days are the same as you support a diverse range of devices, from desktops to point-of-sale systems.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience in IT Infrastructure support, with a record of problem-solving in medium to large enterprise environments.
• Advanced knowledge and support abilities in Windows Server, Active Directory, and understanding of internal workings.
• Proficiency in Office 365 administration and experience with Hyper-Converged Infrastructure, Microsoft Azure, and VMware ESX.
• Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, including Citrix Cloud services.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and basic networking principles.
• Familiarity with monitoring solutions like SolarWinds Orion and ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
• Fluency in English or strong English comprehension, as we support staff worldwide. Ability to manage time and priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

• Leadership experience.
• Experience in PCI environments is advantageous.
• Exposure to Microsoft SQL Server product family.
• Knowledge of automation tools and PowerShell scripting.
• Full driving license and access to transport.
• A commitment to ongoing growth and development within Merlin.
• ITIL Foundation certification or awareness of ITIL processes, especially change, knowledge, and incident management.
