We are recruiting for the latest members of our Infrastructure Operations Team and require an experienced Senior Network Specialist who enjoys working in a fast paced and agile environment and have skills encompassing both the On Premise and Azure technology stacks then this maybe the job for you.

You will be joining the Infrastructure Operations Team, consisting of 11 Infrastructure specialists (4 x Networks and 7 x Platforms). We work closely with several teams across the IT Function covering a wide range of technologies as well as supporting the overall business with their IT projects and BAU work.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a Senior Network Support Specialist, you will be part of the team responsible for the operation of our IT services hosted both on premises and in our Microsoft Azure public cloud environment.
You will also support the delivery of a very ambitious strategic and IT Roadmap change portfolio supporting Skipton Building Society’s.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain a good understanding of all technologies that we implement and support.
  • Ensuring the operational health of all the network infrastructure including security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability.
  • Plan, support and manage technical support and upgrade activity of all network infrastructure.
  • Support all services out of hours as part of the on call rota

What Do We Need From You?

  • Overall, we’re seeking a dynamic individual. Working in a fast-paced environment requires adaptability, flexibility, and a willingness to embrace change.
  • You will have previous Networking experience at a Senior level for both on premises and in a Microsoft Azure public cloud environment.
  • Have experience of supporting Firewalls, Routers, Switching, Quality of Service and Load Balancing would be needed for the role.
  • The team also support the Societies’ Telephony solution, so knowledge of VOIP would be useful.
