ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will possess tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology, Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy or related discipline along with being a Certified Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator (Qld).

The successful candidate will also bring to the role the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  • National or multi-state experience in managing workers compensation claims.
  • Proven experience managing claims and meeting legislative requirements under a self-insurance licence.
  • Extensive workplace rehabilitation experience and an evidence-based approach to proactive injury management.
  • High level data management including accurate record keeping, data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in developing national strategies for rehabilitation and injury management.
  • High level negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • An ability to build rapport, coach and develop stakeholders and
  • Strong ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of our ongoing commitment to the health and safety of our employees, a new opportunity exists within the Safety and Wellbeing team for a Senior Injury Management Advisor role to join us on a part time basis (4 days per week), taking the lead on supporting our employees through the injury management process and ensuring a safe and effective return to the workplace.

As the Senior Injury Management Advisor, you will also take ownership of the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Lead the workers compensation self-insurance governance requirements at Collins.
  • Facilitate the development of strategic and operational plans to achieve a consistent national strategy for injury management.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and advice to team members and internal stakeholders on injury management.
  • Lead all workers compensation audits conducted by the Regulator for self-insurance.
  • Deliver prompt rehabilitation and return to work support for all work related and no work-related injuries / illness for our employees across Australia.
  • Establish and maintain a network of suitable external Rehabilitation Service Providers.
  • Manage the rehabilitation process and records in a confidential and sensitive manner.
  • Ensure compliance with state legislation for workers compensation, self-insurance, and rehabilitation.
  • Take accountability for injury management data and reporting; and
  • Prepare periodic and quarterly reports on workers compensation and self-insurance performance.
