Senior / Inspection Engineer (Risk Based Inspection)

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering
• Possess Certification in API 580, in addition to certification in API 510.
• Additional certification in API 571 and 570 or knowledge and awareness of API 581 process would be advantageous
• Knowledge with fixed equipment inspection and RBI process.
• At least 4 years’ relevant experience in inspection of fixed equipment, failure analysis of material preferably in the oil refinery/petrochemical or related industries.

• Develop inspection plan and schedule for piping & static equipment in collaboration with Operations & Maintenance department.
• Conduct planned inspections & NDE to identify internal/ external corrosion or defects, recommend repairs or inspection frequency and monitor operational reliability in order to prevent any failure/leakage and achieve plant integrity
• Coordinate with NDT contractors on job scope needed to support inspection work requirements.
• Investigate, analyze and determine root-cause of any failure or inherent defect in equipment/piping so as to make recommendations for alleviating the condition or solving the problem.
