DESCRIPTION:
Under the general and broad supervision of the Manager, Academic Planning & Analysis, the incumbent is responsible for conducting institutional research by supplying, processing, analysing and presenting data (e.g., enrolment statistics, research data, student financial support and success data, budget data, etc.). The incumbent researches, analyses, and compiles datasets for senior administrative officials of the University for budget development, reporting, long range planning, and policy development. The incumbent will also assist in ad hoc research and analysis projects using University datasets.
EDUCATION
- Undergraduate Degree in Commerce, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master’s degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5 years of experience in institutional research working with large and varied datasets, preparing and presenting results of complex analyses.
- Solid knowledge of relevant and complex University policies, budgetary and financial procedures, institutional research and data analysis methodologies.
- Experience collaborating and interacting with senior administrators and providing advice and expertise.
SKILLS
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office suite of products: Excel, PowerPoint, Word
- Excellent working knowledge of Tableau
- Knowledge of student system: ROSI
- Knowledge of SAS and/or SPSS preferable
