JOB DESCRIPTION: JOB OVERVIEW:

McDermott, as part of the CCS Joint Venture, is executing a major EPC project for a 2 trains Lump Sum LNG project in Mozambique.
This role is based in London but will require travelling to the JV Partner Saipem’s offices in Milan. The candidate will be part of the Integrated Task Force (ITF) team made up of personnel from the different JV Partners (SAIPEM and McDermott). The Integrated Task Force will undertake principal engineering deliverables to support other project functions as well as perform overall coordination of work both in the central project centre and supporting offices in other project locations in London, Milan and elsewhere.
This role requires good technical skills and broad knowledge in I&C engineering for LNG Plant design and construction. Good communications skills are essential.

QUALIFICATIONS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION:

  • Accredited engineering degree in Electrical or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
  • Preferably MEng degree
  • Preferable Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
  • Typically, 15 years of control and instrumentation design engineering experience
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of control systems and field instruments
  • Familiarity with current codes and standards

Responsibilities:

  • Assist ITF Lead Engineer for:
  • Maintaining updated the Master deliverable register and reporting to ITF ENG Manager about the progress of the deliverables
  • Supporting PICON for the Project Schedule
  • Collect input from London office for preparation of the PR in SAP
  • Maintaining update the procurement PLAN and reporting to ITF PROCUREMENT about the progress on the TBE and Enquiry package
  • Reporting to ITF POSE the progress on Vendor document deliverable status
  • Issuing of the Change proposal
  • Collect input for preparation of the Bill of quantities and supporting CONSTR for constructability and site activities
  • Facilitate the communication with Company for CRS and technical issues resolution
  • Managing of the Tie-in point with other contractors (Area 4, Subsea etc.)
  • Assist ITF Area Lead engineer (AUTOMATION, INSTRUMENTATION, TELECOM) for:
  • Resolution of the multidisciplinary and intracompany technical outstanding
  • Collect input for ICSS freezing (software and hardware freezing)
  • Collect input for Electrical load list (UPS consumption, PDP distribution ect)
  • Collect comment for common deliverables
  • Managing of the interface point among different areas (train, utilities, offsite ect), 3D model and layout
  • Collect input for SPI setup
  • Collect input for cable routing and relevant bulk material purchasing (cable, Fiber optic, cable trays ect).
