JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in writing for a mix of digital/social media, online advertising, website, video/podcast scripts, thought leadership/media commentaries, as well as event organisation experience.
  • Understanding of the latest digital and content marketing trends and techniques and ability to agilely apply in content and campaign work.
  • Prior experience in managing end-to-end asset production and campaigns independently, liaising directly with internal and external stakeholders and agencies.
  • Strong creative and analytical abilities to conceptualise and apply insights, and understands design principles and best practices.
  • Strong written, editing and proofreading skills as well as verbal communicator.
  • Familiarity with Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Buzz Sprout, Sitefinity CMS, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, SEMRush is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, independent contributor and collaborative team player with a keen learning and can-do spirit.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills to manage projects, priorities, schedules and deliverables.
  • Good organisational skills to maintain library of assets, templates and profiles aggregated across internal units as well as corporate gift inventory.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Brand & Digital Marketing team, the role is responsible for the production and deployment of compelling content and brand assets for the SUSS brand story. Besides coordination of brand and digital campaigns from conceptualisation, content curation and campaign reporting to organic and paid search, the specialist will also implement a broad set of communication and marketing tactics to enhance our outbound marketing efforts such as blogs, podcasts, paid campaigns, events marketing etc.
The ideal candidate must have strong writing and editorial skills tailored for different audience segments for opinion pieces, video and podcast scripts. Prior creative production experience including agency collaboration, developing concise campaign briefs and a keen creative judgement and passion for the latest digital and content marketing best practices and trends are highly desired.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Content & Campaign Management

  • Design and deliver creative content strategies and ideas based on campaign briefs alongside the manager, in collaboration with appointed agency.
  • Write, edit and proofread thought leadership articles including podcast/video scripts, digital/social media copy for our suite of channels (i.e. website, social media, messaging channels)
  • Study and apply evolving consumer insights and digital and content marketing trends/opportunities to sharpen our existing and new content strategies and analytics for strong campaign outcomes. (e.g. impressions, engagements, downloads, views).
  • Aggregate, curate and maintain strong content ideas and stories/proof points, as well as human story profiles across the universities, for turning them into well-crafted stories amplified across multiple channels, including organic, paid to shared.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice, and optimised for search and user experience for all channels of content.
  • Support end to end production of owned and paid assets (e.g. videos, podcasts, photos) cum campaigns independently, including interfacing with internal and external stakeholders and agencies to achieve target results.
  • Support content amplification on our owned channels, including blog, podcast, website and social channels.
  • Generate channel performance reports and extract/present key learnings and insights for future content calibration.

Brand Governance

  • Review advertising and marketing communications/collaterals across SUSS for alignment with our brand guidelines.
  • Support execution of our brand tracking study, brand architecture and brand guide enhancement work.
  • Maintain and refresh, when necessary, our library of brand assets (e.g. videos, photos), templates (across multiple formats), as well as corporate gifts inventory for internal teams’ usage to augment our brand externally.
  • Maintain best practices for brand through our brand marketing playbook and support training of internal teams on right applications to build a unified brand image for SUSS.

Event & Other Support

  • Organise and support university-level events and corporate visits by ministers and VIPs when required.
  • Perform team-related duties and responsibilities, as well as support university-wide events, as assigned.
