Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Senior Intelligence Analyst within Cheshire Constabulary’s Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB).
This role focuses on managing Cheshire Constabulary’s operational analytical capability.
As the Senior Analyst, you will ensure delivery of the analytical products to nationally established standards and recognised best practice.
In this role, you will manage a team of operational Intelligence Analysts supporting a variety of departments including that Major Investigation Team (MIT) and the Serious & Organised Crime Unit. You will also be responsible for the continuous development of this function and the Intelligence Analysts they will be supervising.
You will be educated to Level 6 in a related topic or have over 3 years’ experience in the field of intelligence / research / analysis. In addition to this you will have:

Experience of working within the framework of the National Intelligence Model and Intelligence Analysis processes and products.

  • Experience of working with a wide variety of policing departments within an operational analytical capacity, including knowledge of working on / supervising staff working on major incidents and covert operations.
  • Experience of producing or supervising the production of analytical exhibits for use in the criminal justice process.
  • Completed nationally accredited intelligence analysis training and have achieved nationally recognised analyst competencies.

    • Experience of prioritising resources to ensure resources are allocated to mitigating the highest threat, risk and harm, whilst also meeting other deadlines.
      To apply for this role, you will hold Senior Intelligence Analyst IPP Accreditation, or be willing to complete this within 12 months of appointment as well as have experience in leading/supervising/ managing a team of staff and implementing processes and practices to ensure best practice across teams.
