Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The career within Senior/Intermediate Accountant will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services to a variety of clients from small clients to medium entities. The role will manage a broad range of accounting, tax & wealth creation processes, with the opportunity for a structured career growth. This candidate will be responsible for reviewing work and will be reporting to the Management team in our Melbourne office.
You will also have the opportunity to interact and to provide end to end service to our client and help the client to solve complex business issues. You must have the confidence to articulate complex issues with clients and managers, and a strategic mindset to innovate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Preparation of management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS’s for individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts and SMSF’s
- Liaison with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients including the ATO and the ASIC
- Bank reconciliations and day-to-day transactional entries as a virtual CFO
- Manage expense claims, Accounts Payable and month end journals and reconciliations
- Assisting with annual budget preparation, cash flow forecast, and quarterly forecasting processes
- Work closely with the supervisors, managers and executive director with audit work
- Assist in giving guidance/training to junior employees
- Engage in training other staff development activities
