We are seeking a passionate and result-driven Senior Inventory Manager (all genders) with strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset for tackling quantitative tasks, and effective communication abilities to join our Procurement & Inventory Management team.
As an integral part of the Operations Area at zooplus, our team is dedicated to ensuring seamless product availability in our warehouses for customer orders.
In this influential role, you will take charge of identifying opportunities and spearheading projects that contribute to a continuous improvement of availability and optimal inventory levels. Your impactful contributions will involve close collaboration with senior management across diverse functions, including Logistics, Vendor Management, Sales and the IT department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or Master’s Degree
  • 5+ years of significant experience gained in a project oriented and/or analytically focused role (e.g. consulting, project management, business analyst)
  • Experience in Procurement or Logistics/Operations: Preferably focused on inventory/in-stock management
  • Strategic and tactical acumen: Proven ability to operate strategically and tactically in a fast-paced environment, building scalable systems and processes
  • Independent self-starter with entrepreneurial mindset
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills: A focus on translating data into actionable insights to drive informed decision-making
  • Proficiency in Excel and SQL
  • Strong team player with effective communication skills across various seniorities and backgrounds

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze out-of-stock (OOS) and overstock (OV) trends and identify root causes
  • Initiate and execute short-term actions to rectify or prevent OOS/OV issues as well as proactively solve for upcoming challenges
  • Identify and drive structural improvements related to OOS/OV through project management
  • Challenge the status quo, encouraging critical and creative thinking for sourcing and replenishment optimization
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align on measures, re-evaluate, and reprioritize if necessary and manage delivery of project portfolio
  • Redefine and execute reporting and governance structure around OOS/OV
  • Collaborate with internal IT department to enhance system capabilities and automate key processes
