Description:
HOW WILL I HELP?
We are seeking a Senior Investigations Data Analyst to join our team in Parramatta. As the Senior Investigations Data Analyst, you will support both the Major Investigations team within AML & Sanctions Operations by providing data and analysis to internal stakeholders as requested and authorised, identifying trends and interrogating data to support enhancements within Major Investigations. This role serves as a conduit between the investigators and relevant data to support the teams in relation to open/ongoing Investigations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Management of ad hoc data requests from the AML investigations teams.
- Comprehensive analysis of large datasets to identify red flag indicators and commonalities to support ongoing and active AML investigations.
- Threat hunting capabilities and identification of syndicated financial crime matters.
- Analysis of financial crime trends and showcasing of findings to senior stakeholders.
- Collaboration with investigators to identify exposure to financial crime risk and assisting with mitigation of risk outcomes.

- Hybrid (2 days in-office, Preferably Wednesday & Thursday)
To be successful in this role you will need a high attention to detail, strong knowledge of the business’s critical administrative functions, including reconciliation of recoveries and demonstrated ability in maintaining stakeholder relationships both internal and external. You will also need:
- Exposure to financial crime including Fraud, Anti Money Laundering Counter Terrorism Finance.
- Demonstrated exposure within a fraud or operational risk environment.
- Intermediate user of analytical tools in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, power query, macros, VBA etc).
- Minimum 2+ years in a data analysis or data investigation role with demonstrated analytical skill sets with some exposure to SAS; SQL; Python or PowerBI.
- Advanced MS Office knowledge.
- Highly developed communication skills
