The incumbent will continuously strive to exceed internal & external customer expectations while embracing the Aldar Education Core Values.
Provide support to Manager - Investments by assisting in the creation of feasibility studies and investment committee presentations, developing 5-year business plan, conducting market research & due diligence.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or engineering
  • MBA in Finance / CFA preferred

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant Finance experience
  • Experience in Education sector is an added advantage
  • Experience in Transaction Advisory / Deals is desirable

JOB SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Advanced excel skills with proven financial modelling experience
  • Excellent analytical capabilities and hands-on experience in MS Office presentations
  • Good English communication skills are essential
  • Ability to liaise effectively business functions to collect input required for analysis
  • Ability to be detail focused whilst maintaining sight of the big picture
  • Deadline oriented and take ownership of work
  • Organized & capable of managing multiple complex projects in a rapidly changing, fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

MAIN DUTIES

  • Research and analyze potential investment opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investments.
  • Collaborate with management teams to develop and refine 5 year business plan.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with investment opportunities and develop risk mitigation strategies.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

  • Support the internal due diligence of M&A transactions, prepare financial models, and perform sensitivity & scenario analysis for growth opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain feasibility study models and work closely with department heads to align on operating assumptions.
  • Support in the development of 5-years business planning process.
  • Support in preparation of investment committee and board packs.
  • Support in market research studies and development of growth plan.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis and market research. This may involve identifying growth opportunities, optimizing capital allocation, and supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Provide input to key macro-economic data such as market benchmarks, and demographic statistics, that are used as regular inputs to feasibility, studies, and business plan.
  • Work with external financial due diligence, commercial due diligence, and legal due diligence teams for completion of M&A transactions.
  • Support preparation of transaction documents including the sale and purchase agreement, shareholder agreement, disclosure and bid letter.
  • Any additional investment or strategy-related tasks as assigned by the management
