Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The role of Senior Investment Analyst is to provide a high level of managed funds product research to financial advisers and other subscribers. Over time, the Senior Investment Analyst will work across a range of asset classes (including Australian Equities, Global Equities and Alternatives), and managed funds products (including Listed and Unlisted Managed Funds, Listed Investment Companies, Listed Investment Trusts and other Exchange Traded Products).
This position is permanent and offers flexibility in terms of either full-time or part-time hours . It is based in either our Melbourne or Sydney office on a hybrid working model, with the option for remote work in other Australian cities as well.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyse and conduct research on managed funds products within the relevant asset class as per the Annual Review Cycle, under the guidance and direction of Sector Managers.
- Undertake reviews of Investment Managers as assigned by the Sector Manager and in conjunction with other Analysts - collecting and synthesizing written information, assessing the merits of products and preparing research reports covering people and resources, investment style and objectives, research approach, portfolio construction and risk management.
- Contribute to the integrity and evolution of the research process - Participate in Rating Committees, and provide ideas and input into process development.
- Prepare research reports for new and existing managed funds products , and other investment review and outlook reports across asset classes.Communicate with external clients to address specific queries and needs.
