Description:
We have a very exciting new opportunity in an up-and-coming Wealth Management firm, who are entering a growth phase and have a bullish 24 month (internal) outlook. Individual will report directly to the CIO. Requirements: - 5+ years’ experience of an Investment Analyst position, with strong fundamental and macro understanding. - Multi-sector, UK led market approach - Experience interacting with HNW/ UHNW client base - CFA charter holder (L3)
Responsibilities:
- Lead development efforts to build the technical infrastructure associated with the portfolio construction approach.
- Lead on the implementation of new models based on new ranges mandated by Investment Committee and CIO.
- Maintenance of all model portfolios (core & bespoke) to ensure that all portfolios are in line with target asset allocation and underlying portfolio characteristics within a range as determined by the CIO based on decisions made at IC level.
- Implement changes in target weights in a timely, cost effective and compliant manner across all portfolios post IC strategic decisions (generally twice per year).
- Maintain records of portfolio changes, sign off process and the rationale.
- Construct and monitor single stock and bond ladder portfolios including identifying appropriate bond replacements upon bond maturity.
- Lead development efforts to build an in-house quantitative risk monitoring dashboard for each portfolio to determine whether model portfolios are line with strategic risks as determined by the IC and or portfolio constraints.
- Assist CIO with annual fund due diligence review meetings with our major active fund providers.
- Lead development efforts to build an in-house risk monitoring dashboard and review mechanism (including both quantitative and qualitative monitoring indicators) to oversee fund performance.
- Conduct regular model portfolio review to ensure portfolios are positioned within IC agreed risk guidelines and track within performance expectations.
- Lead on establishing a formal active fund/manager selection process, which combines fundamental research with quantitative analysis to help inform investment decisions from IC.
- Responsible for fund due diligence review process to ensure that all existing funds are reviewed across quantitative and qualitative factors and compared versus competitors on a rolling frequent basis.
- Undertake detailed manager and fund research and selection following CIO and IC’s view in market opportunities.
- Assist CIO in improving and maintaining the firm’s framework for strategic asset allocation.
- Assist CIO in maintaining our Long-Term Capital Market Assumptions framework.
- Lead on maintaining and improving fund database, ensuring the effective utilisation of data feeds and error-free raw data environment with support of junior analyst.
