One of the leading financial services companies based in Cape Town with a key focus in funding SMEs globally for over 20 years is looking to hire a Senior Investment Officer to join their Cape Town office. The ideal candidate must have a B.com degree in accounting and have a background in financial services.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Completed BCom degree in accounting.
• 4 years or more in experience in Business investment or business finance-related role
• Experience in banking/Insurance house non-negotiable.
• Sales and marketing will be an advantage.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Creating detailed financial models, including revenue projections, cost analysis, risk assessment and return calculations to guide investments.
• Conducting market research to identify potential clients and strategic partnerships for the business.
• Assessing the financial health and potential risks of targeted companies through comprehensive due diligence
• Organising and participating in networking events, conferences and industry forums to establish and strengthen business networks.
• Keeping abreast of industry regulations, market dynamics and economics trends to adapt investment strategies accordingly.
• Monitoring and evaluating the performance of client portfolios.
• Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the broader SME market
• Structuring and negotiating viable financing solutions with targeted companies to optimize returns for the company based on the associated risk.
• Drafting comprehensive investment reports that communicate findings ,risk and potential returns to stakeholders
