We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Asset Management Analyst to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage and optimise our organisation’s IT assets, including hardware, software, licenses, and other technology resources.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and the asset management lifecycle and processes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular audits of IT assets to ensure accuracy and compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of hardware, software, licenses, and other technology assets.
  • Track the lifecycle of IT assets from procurement to disposal, including asset tagging, tracking, and documentation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of IT asset management policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with IT procurement, finance, and other departments to optimise asset procurement, utilisation, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and risk mitigation related to IT asset management.
  • Generate and analyse reports on IT asset inventory, usage, compliance, and performance.
  • Provide recommendations for asset lifecycle management, including upgrades, replacements, and retirements.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and manage license renewals, transfers, and audits.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and technologies related to IT asset management.
  • You will be required to travel across Sydney to different RBA offices on approx. weekly basis.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT asset management, procurement, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, and licensing models.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and IT asset management best practices is preferred.
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow’s IT asset management tools are highly advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in managing IT asset data and documentation.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • ITAM Foundation Certification.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification.
  • Certifications such as Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP) or Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) are a plus.
