Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This role will best suit someone who has the ability & confidence to take a holistic view in order to identify opportunities to further partner with internal stakeholders and add value through the work and delivery of the Internal Audit function. This individual will help ensure internal controls are appropriately designed, operationally effective, and aligned with Company objectives.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Audit Planning:

  • Involved in the overall audit planning process, attending stakeholder meetings and providing input into the audit plan.

Audit Projects:

  • Leading the planning, preparation, and completion of audit projects across the Group following defined quality standards and timelines. Leading teams on projects, where required.
  • Setting and promoting high standards of audit work and ensuring high-standard quality audit reports are delivered consistently.

Audit Follow-Ups:

  • Communicating and reporting audit findings to business management.

Stakeholder Engagement and Value Add:

  • Working as a partner to the business in identifying significant process and structure improvements to assist the business in meeting its corporate objectives.
  • Maintains strong relationships within the team, auditees, and management.
  • Working with stakeholders to generate advisory project opportunities as part of audit projects.

Data Analytics:

  • Analysing large data sets to make informed conclusions using CAATs (Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques)
  • Leading audits where data analytics testing is a key element of the review.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Educated to degree level. Additional IT Audit (CISA) or IT Security (CISM, CISSP) qualifications where applicable.
  • Audit experience in enterprise environments or Consultancy environments.
  • Advanced understanding of IT General Computing Controls (ITGCs). In conjunction with this broader knowledge across the technology landscape, an important aspect for this role given breath and scale of our clients various business units.
  • Competent knowledge of IT and Information Security operations, policies and procedures in areas such as Windows Active Directory, Unix/Linux, databases.
  • Knowledge of cloud architecture (AWS, GCP or Azure), operational frameworks and security controls would be beneficial.
  • Ability to identify issues and associated risks and provide practical solutions to a wide range of Internal Controls issues.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
