WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Salary: Salary will be commensurate based on the selected candidate’s experience.
Physical Requirements: May be required to ascend and descend a ladder while in the performance of essential job duties.
Other Requirements: Must be a United States citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted asylum or refugee status in accordance with 15 CFR, Part 762; 22 CFR §§122.5, 123.22 and 123.26; and 31 CFR § 501.60
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of related information technology experience.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated ability to configure and work with 12V / 24V power system equipment.
- Basic understanding of network equipment and configuration.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and train a small team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Systems: Provides technical oversight and training for conducting research of problems and the formulation of recommended solutions for customers. Serves as a technical lead in research, implementation, and deployment of systems software. Coordinates the installation and maintenance of both critical and non-critical software. Provides technical guidance on monitoring and maintaining system security and for protecting and recovering data. Resolves configuration system performance issues. Leads Tier II team in support of multiple technology installations. Assists senior team members with implementing work plans and time schedules for projects requiring coordination between multiple units within the department or technology team.
- Administration: Serves as a resource for internal and external customers. Assists with asset inventory for department assets. Provides guidance and training to Tier I and Tier II support. Evaluates and follows through on issues and problems until resolved or escalated. Serves on unit committees.
- Documentation: Works with team to develop and review accuracy of documentation of application support methods, procedures, and configuration. Perform other duties as assigned.
