The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional holds Humana’s technology partners accountable via performance management, contract compliance, and relationship management, thereby allowing internal partners to focus on providing solutions to enable the perfect member experience.
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional is responsible for coordinating IT stakeholder activities and relationships across assigned IT departments and within Humana’s IT organization.
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
The Senior IT Vendor Management Professional:
Represents the scope of the IT relationship across such areas as financial performance, incentive programs, quality management, data sharing, connectivity, documentation, performance, operational improvements and other areas as they relate to IT vendor performance, IT DRI experience, market growth, vendor experience, and operational excellence.
Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
Supports the information technology function, evaluates vendor performance, needs assessment, spend optimization and risk management.
Directs the lifecycle activities for existing contracts.
Identifies new technology solutions and works closely with internal business partners to forecast future needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business objectives.
Drives the strategy and selection of vendors.
Coordinates the negotiation and execution of contracts with the Legal and Contracts departments.
Begins to influence department’s strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Development and stewardship of the Humana VM strategy for assigned vendors - cross category.
Provision of VM consulting support across the vendor lifecycle
Develop and execute the vendor management program for assigned vendors
Leads Humana IT Relationship with the vendors- responsible for successful relationship development & management

ROLE ESSENTIALS

  • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • 5 years prior vendor, supplier, contract, risk, or account management experience working with IT Associates.
  • 2 years prior experience with general hardware, software licensing, & SaaS
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 or more years project leadership experience
  • Training in asset, vendor, contract, risk, or supplier management
