About the Job
We are currently looking for a second IT admin to join us as a Senior IT System Administrator (m/f/d). In this role you’ll join one of our portfolio companies to dive into managing the infrastructure, hardware, and software systems. You’ll tackle troubleshooting head-on and boost the performance of the IT setup. Leverage mobile device management to enhance both security and workflow across the company. One of the key tasks involves taking the reins on user account management and being a go-to resource for colleagues in multiple locations, helping tailor technology solutions to the needs.
In your day to day work you’ll focus on documenting processes and craft strategies to elevate both the performance and security of the systems and network.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for network configuration and management
  • Overseeing system and software management to ensure smooth operations
  • Keeping up to date on security and compliance requirements
  • Setting up and managing a help desk to provide excellent user support
  • Ensuring the data is secured and compliant with all regulations.
  • Acting as the primary contact for user and account management

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in IT system administration
  • Background in managing helpdesks
  • Experienced with network setup and configuration (switches, routers, firewalls, APs, etc.)
  • Proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus
  • Strong familiarity with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledgeable about IT security policies and procedures
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
  • Experience with mobile device management and endpoint protection

Please note that we’re looking for support in the Aachen office of our portfolio company. Eligibility to work in the EU is required.
