Senior ITU Pharmacist – Large Private Hospital
Salary: Up to £60,000, depending on experience
Hours: Full time, 37.5 Hours per week.
Location: Central London

Compass Associates are delighted to be working with one of the largest private healthcare groups within the UK in the search for a Senior Pharmacist working within the ITU Department. This leading Hospital has over 100 beds, 10 operating theatres and 3 Critical Care Departments as well as providing several specialist services including cardiology, cancer services and orthopaedics.
You’ll be joining the Pharmacy Department, reporting to the Lead Clinical Pharmacist within this role. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll develop and maintain the highest level of standards held by the Hospital, promoting safe and effective use of medicines, and patient-focused care. Additionally, you’ll also be given an opportunity to work alongside the lead clinical pharmacist to provide education and training to members of the pharmacy team to ensure progress and development.

Main Responsibilities for The Role
Deliver clinical pharmacy services to a variety of specialty areas including critical care, delivery and assurance, prescription monitoring, encompassing protocol development etc.
To provide a safe clinical pharmacy service, with the patient’s wellbeing as a focus.
Undertaking medicine reconciliation and assessing pharmaceutical care needs.
Assist in the strategic planning, development, and delivery of pharmacy services.
Provide support and supervision to pharmacists and technicians working within the Hospital Campus.
Requirements
Registered with the GPhC.
Specialist clinical pharmacy knowledge and experience in specialties including critical care.
At least 5 years Hospital clinical pharmacy practice experience.
Postgraduate diploma or master’s in clinical pharmacy or equivalent.
Previous management experience is desired.
Location
This hospital is located in London – commutable from all London Boroughs.
