THE OPPORTUNITY:

An Australian Retail giant is seeking a Senior Java Developer on an initial six month contract, where your expertise will shape cutting-edge solutions in their retail and eCommerce domain.

The Role:

• Java Proficiency: Leverage your strong background in Java programming to design and develop robust, scalable solutions, demonstrating mastery of Java’s features and principles.
• Microservices and RESTful API Expertise: Showcase your expertise in building Microservices and crafting RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration and interoperability across systems. Familiarity with SOAP is advantageous.
• Enterprise Integration Experience: Utilize your practical experience in integrating enterprise-level applications and systems, driving efficient communication and data exchange.
• Azure Development: Utilize your development experience on Microsoft Azure to enhance our cloud-based solutions, leveraging Azure services to optimize performance and scalability.
• Unit Testing and TDD: Apply your expertise in unit testing, JUnit, and Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies, ensuring high code quality and reliability.
• CI/CD Familiarity: Showcase your familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools, enabling streamlined software delivery and deployment.

About You:

• Extensive experience as a developer, with a proven track record of delivering enterprise and scaled software solutions ideally working with large amounts of data.
• A background in Retail/eCommerce, demonstrating a deep understanding of industry-specific requirements and challenges OR a background working on complex solutions handling large amounts of traffic and data.
• Demonstrated experience working across Java programming within large enterprise environments.
• Experience working across integrating enterprise scale systems, utilising your expertise in Microservices & RESTful APIs
• Experience using containerisation with Azure Kubernetes.
• Full, unlimited Australian working rights.
