POSITION OVERVIEW:

Magallen Jets, an innovative leader in the aviation industry, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in developing and enhancing our digital infrastructure to ensure the highest level of service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, relational databases, microservices architecture, and API development, with a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable, and efficient software solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6-10 years of hands-on experience with Java development.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, and a deep understanding of microservices architecture.
• Proficient in working with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and developing database-driven applications.
• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of the full software development life cycle.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
• Implement high-performance applications using Spring Boot framework.
• Develop and maintain microservices that support our business processes and operations.
• Design and implement databases, ensuring data integrity, performance, and scalability.
• Develop APIs for internal and external use, ensuring they are secure, efficient, and maintainable.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Assist in the integration of third-party services and systems as required.
• Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.
