In our laboratories at our customer site in Munich, we work directly with our client, a well-known pharmaceutical company. Our role is, among other things, the provision of buffers, cell culture media and blood products to support our client in the development of innovative cancer therapies.
We are currently looking for a Senior Lab Associate (m/f/d). The position is filled for an indefinite period of time with 40 working hours per week. As a Supervisor you will be responsible for the maintenance of filter modules, the preparation of cell culture media/buffers, the preparation of blood products and the preparation and cleaning of bioreactors.
As part of a small team, you will be instructed in your tasks in detail and have the opportunity to develop yourself in a targeted manner. Therefore, for this position, your motivation and willingness to learn are much more important than already existing scientific knowledge.

A day in the life:

  • Involvement in management-related tasks (e.g., planning and scheduling work).
  • Proactively communicate with the site manager about any customer concerns and/or potential problems.
  • Engage in process improvement activities.
  • Ordering of chemicals and consumables.
  • Bioreactor support quality checking.
  • Backup function in media & buffer preparation, and other scientific services as needed.
  • Documentation of activities performed.
  • Prepare (customer) reporting and perform data analysis on request.
  • Follow work processes as outlined by our written procedures.
  • May perform other responsibilities as assigned by management.

The keys to success:

  • Completed education with a master’s degree or higher, with a scientific background.
  • Preferably 3 or more years of experience within a laboratory environment.
  • Laboratory experience; especially chemistry/biology related.
  • High level of commitment and willingness to learn.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent English language skills. German language is a plus.
  • Careful, and detail-oriented work
  • Reliability.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Computer-related skills such as proficiency in MS Office are a plus, including data analysis skills are expected.
