Description:
As a Senior Lawyer, your role entails providing high-quality legal and strategic advice with a commercial perspective to support the interests of the Group. Your primary focus will be on the Commercial Insurance business, covering various aspects such as:
- Drafting Commercial Insurance Products
- Insurance Product Distribution
- Regulatory Compliance
- Contract Drafting and Review
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Manager Legal, Insurance Advisory, your responsibilities will include:
- Provision of legal advice in relation to development and administration of Insurance products (Inc. policy wording and PDS reviews, product development advice, statutory notices and disclosure)
- Legal advice in respect of the distribution of Insurance products and partnering arrangements (Inc. broker and intermediary arrangements, and strategic partnerships)
- Act as point of technical escalation for matters in your functional areas
- Identify matters which have the potential to impact the Group’s interests and provide expert legal advice to protect these interests
- Provide legal advice in respect of regulatory matters involving ASIC, APRA and the ACCC
- Support business’ compliance with financial services legislation, privacy legislation and legislation regulating the issue and distribution of financial products
