We’re seeking a Project Architect to join our team. As a Senior/Lead Architect, you’ll join our Canadian architectural group and will be based in either Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. You’ll have the chance to utilize your great communication skills, technical expertise and ambition to help grow our architectural presence in western Canada. You’ll support clients across the market that span from transit / transportation facilities, municipal drinking water and wastewater treatment facilities, as well as other light industrial, commercial and /or institutional projects. You’ll deliver and coordinate detailed designs and support construction activities, studies, and analyses, as well as lead mid-size projects. Your design skills and creativity will prove imperative when communicating and working with the client to exceed their expectations.
You’ll research, program, plan, design, and detail building projects, applying knowledge of architectural design, zoning and building codes, building systems and materials for our clients and partners.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • Canadian Professional Registered Architect with minimum of 12 years of licensed experience
  • Proficient experience for buildings related design projects
  • Strong organizational skills to help facilitate multiple tasks at one time, communication (both verbal and written) skills, creative problem-solving abilities, business development / client relationship building skills, and desire to develop leadership abilities
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with design team and consultants
  • Ability to support a project manager in forecasting project schedules, hours and budget
  • Demonstrated program experience in the usage of Revit, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs
  • Thorough understanding of building codes with hands-on experience in code analysis, permitting, zoning analysis and minor variances.
