Description:
The Senior Dual Diagnosis role will lead on and support the mental health liaison team in providing specialist advice, interventions and education to patients presenting to the Royal London Hospital with drug and alcohol related problems. There will be an interface with local drug and alcohol services including the acute hospital alcohol team. There will be an expectation to provide teaching to staff in the mental health team and acute Trust to improve care and support for this patient group
The banding for this post is currently under review
Will provide line management and leadership to the band 6 Dual Diagnosis Nurse
Will act as the lead for dual diagnosis for staff in the service to ensure core interventions are recovery focused, integrated, and delivered to the highest standard.
Will provide highly specialised advice and support to the Royal London Hospital Acute Alcohol Team on mental health management and onward referral
