Responsibilities:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Enterprise Risk Officer who will be part of the Home Lending Capital Markets Risk Oversight team, providing oversight of the Home Lending Capital Markets organization.
This individual contributor will oversee key front line processes specific to the sale of loans and Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR), utilizing knowledge of risk programs, regulatory requirements, and process and control design. They will partner closely with the line of business to support business strategy, key initiatives, and process changes. They will also coordinate across IRM risk types (Market, Operational, Compliance, Model) and with Legal to ensure all risks to front line activities are properly assessed. Specific accountabilities include ongoing monitoring of key front line reporting and metrics, review and challenge of issue remediation and change management, and integration into key strategic initiatives. They will lead a team in accomplishing overall strategic priorities and ensuring that appropriate escalation and communication is provided to IRM senior management.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence enterprise risk, governance, reporting programs, plans, specifications, resources, and long term goals for highly complex business corporate governance risk programs and technical needs across multiple front lines with high risk for Enterprise Risk
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges for governance and reporting programs company wide
  • Deliver solutions that are long term and large scale which requires vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to more experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale cross functional or companywide strategies
  • Lead projects, mentor virtual teams, and design, develop and deliver training
  • Guide and direct the organization in terms of policies, effectiveness of companywide initiative execution, and assists in development of actionable insights
  • Engage and strategize with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership
  • Partner with managers to deliver risk reporting to executive management, committees, and Board of Directors
  • Maintain internal partnership with the business and other business units, including, Audit, Legal, regulators, and industry partners on risk related topics
