ABOUT THE FUNCTION

The function involves managing and overseeing the record-to-report (RTR) process within a cluster of hotels or properties. The RTR function encompasses various activities related to recording financial transactions, maintaining financial records, and producing financial reports. These functions collectively contribute to the effective and efficient management of financial operations within the designated cluster, with a specific focus on the Record to Report process. This plays a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, compliance, and strategic support for the cluster’s business activities.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY

• A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is typically required. Many organizations prefer candidates with advanced degrees such as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or a master’s in finance.
• Possession of relevant professional certifications is often preferred. Common certifications include Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), or similar qualifications.
• Certifications specific to the finance or accounting field, such as Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or certifications related to financial systems and technology, may be advantageous.
• Significant experience in leadership roles within finance, including roles with increasing levels of responsibility. Previous experience in a Director of Finance or similar leadership role is often required.
• In-depth expertise in the Record to Report process, including experience overseeing financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations, and compliance activities.
• Experience in the hospitality industry is often preferred, especially if the role involves overseeing financial operations within a cluster of hotels or properties.
• Strong financial analysis skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the Record to Report cycle.
